A CELEBRATION OF 45 YEARS OF THE GOOD LIFE IN BOULDER

Alex probably won’t be at the Potluck Reunion as various family members will be in town, plus he will be orchestrating the other activities. So to see him, as well as have a chance to dance and reminisce with not only members of our old performing group but also the folk dance community at large, plan to attend any or all of the events Alex is organizing for his celebration:

FOLK DANCE REUNION PARTY

When: FRIDAY, JULY 30 – 7-10 PM
Where: Pearl Street Studio, 2126 Pearl St., Boulder

Alex says it would be really cool if folks would wear old Narodno costumes, or at least representative pieces of them. His programming will take into account the presence of members of various groups, including our bunch. He has also requested skits – any of you want to get in on some or help to organize some? (We already know that Joe Miller has volunteered – contact him or Alex or Melba if you want to be involved.)

THE MAIN EVENT

When: SATURDAY, JULY 31, 3-10PM
Where: Under the Big Tent – Boulder Library Mall, 9th and Canyon
What: Bands every hour – including Cajun, swing, contra. Bluegrass, Scandinavian and international. Skits and entertainment every 20 minutes – you don’t have to dance to have a good time!

PICKIN’ & SINGING

When: SUNDAY, AUGUST 1, 9:30-2PM
Where: Chautauqua Lawn
What: Brunch Potluck

HUNGARIAN TANCHAZ featuring the Jomoka Band from Salt Lake City!

When: SUNDAY, AUGUST 1, 6-10PM
What: Potluck and dance
